National Aging and Law Institute Conference 2012
This year’s National Aging and Law Institute conference took place November 8-10th in Washington, D.C. Mark Heffner was pleased to attend the conference, which was sponsored by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). The Institute gave Mark the opportunity to speak directly with the attorneys from the Center for Medicare Advocacy who helped bring about the settlement of litigation clarifying the so-called improvement standard (see Mark’s blog post for further details), and how it can help his clients.
Attorney Heffner has been a member of NAELA since 1990 and at has previously presented at their national and regional programming events. The organization was founded in 1987 as a professional association of attorneys who are dedicated to improving the quality of legal services provided to people as they age and people with special needs.
